I've taken a break with all of my mass effect fanworks to crank out something serious because I forget that I can actually draw sometimes.
If I put effort into it.
Anyway this week I've downloaded the Humble bundle!
The first game I picked out of it to play was Bastion and my God, I haven't played a game that broke my heart since ME3 and I haven't even finished ME3.
[Bastion spoilers below]
The men and women behind Bastion know how to tell a good story, and carrying Zulf the long walk to the skyway was like...the best part about the ending.
Especially when the rest of the Ura lay down arms.
And silently let you pass, and I like to think that it's out of respect (for the strange kid) who would go out of the way to help one of their own after they've done nothing but fight him since he arrived.
Even if Zulf made nothing but trouble I just wanna think it's partly out of wonder for him.
There were a lot of other parts that I loved, like wandering around the city full of the dead, just listening to Rucks talk was a majority of the game for me. I highly suggest that everyone who hasn't gone out to get this game with the bundle, do it now. It is so worth it. For casual gamers as well as those who like a challenge.
If not for the gorgeous Legend of mana'esque gameplay, at least do it for the story. I can't stress how beautiful it is.
